Brief:
Design an intuitive interface for an arcade entertainment device. Your solution will explore how material, input devices, gestures, movements and transitions facilitate a user journey and make the experience fun, intuitive, comparable and useful. You will create an electronically enabled device to bridge the communication gap between human and machine. Your artefact needs to reflect the users’ task and its relationship to the computer’s display. Emphasis is on intuition, design semantics and in particular, the quality of material and craft (no single-use item).
This was a collaborative project with Emma Burton. The aim was to create an intuitive controller for a video game.
